Training Programme
This flexible study programme will suit all student profiles, whether studying already or in employment. It is delivered over one Module of 5 days ‘Attended Learning’ where we focus on theory and practical massage followed by a period of ‘Distance Learning’ in which you will complete assignments and field based case studies with horses. This leads to a final theory and practical assessment. The earliest completion period realistically is 6 months but this really depends on your lifestyle and time you can allocate to studying. We are very flexible to suit your needs!
Graduates may progress onto level 5 training after a period of working in industry as a Therapist if it is their intention to become a fully immersed Therapist incorporating Massage and Rehabilitation with the option to attend the full range of CPD (continuing professional development) one day courses. The flow chart further on shows the progressive nature of our training.
You are however still equipped to massage horses as a Therapist after taking this Equine Sports Massage for Athletic Performance course.
This is a UK Level 4 nationally accredited training course, equivalent to a Level 5/6 course in Ireland.
