Equine Spinal Freedom

Duration:

2 days

You will be taught advanced palpation skills prior to a full range of mobilisation techniques on the axial and appendicular skeleton of the horse.
The mobilisation techniques taught help to increase joint fluid to the area which has a nutritional value for the joints and the surrounding tissues. Mobilisation also causes a reflex response in the spinal cord which helps to relax muscles around the bones and joints.

Massage and myofascial release techniques work extremely well with mobilisation – they have a different intention and function but used together help the horse to move more freely throughout its entire musculoskeletal system and increasing joint range of motion.

This skill is based on the principles of chiropractic work but does not qualify you as an equine chiropractor.
